The Vacation Fund is an additional source of income for our members. You’re eligible to participate in the Vacation Fund if your employer is required to contribute to the Vacation Fund on your behalf. Check your collective bargaining agreement to see if you’re eligible for the Vacation Fund.
How It Works
When you become eligible to participate in the Vacation Fund, an individual vacation account is automatically set up for you.
Your employer contributes to your individual vacation account for every hour you work in covered employment. Your union negotiated the amount of this contribution with your employer. Check your collective bargaining agreement for details.
You can withdraw the full balance of your individual vacation account at any time. Or you can let your balance grow, just like a savings account. The choice is yours.
To request a withdrawal, submit a Withdrawal Form to the Fund Office in person, by mail, or by fax.
